Les Kinois means "The Black Ones". It was founded by Samba Mapangala in 1970 in Kinshasa (Zaire) with the name of Orchestre Super Tukina.
Is compose of nine members:
- Samba Mapangala (Band Leader and Lead Vocalist)
- Pele Ondindia (Assistant Band Leader, Bass Guitarist and Vocalist)
- (Iliko) Madjo Maduley (Assistant Band Leader and Vocalist)
- Bedjo Mikombi (Lead - Soloist)
- Bibiley Kabakaba (Assistant Lead - Soloist)
- Okelo Josse (Rhythmnist)
- Niki Djo (Bass and Lead-Solo Pop Music)
- Faustao Temopele (Drummer)
- Kasule Mopepe (Tumba- Kongas)
