Swiss - Serbian symphonic metal band

The Female-Fronted band Evolucija is gearing up for symphonic heavy metal with the upcoming album
‘The World is Full of Wrath.’ This Swiss-Serbian symphonic heavy metal band is set to make waves in the metal scene with their long-awaited studio album, recorded throughout 2023 and produced by metal veteran Marko “Wolfy” Vuckovic (founder of Alister).
The album was mixed and mastered at the renowned Fascination Street Studios in Sweden by Linus Corneliusson and Jens Bogren.
Led by the powerful vocals of Ilana Marinjes-von Arx, Evolucija features Dragisa Marinjes on bass, Marko “Wolfy” Vuckovic and Darko Konstantinovic on guitars, and Aleksandar Kastevarac on drums.
The album ‘The World is Full of Wrath’, scheduled for April 2024 under the label 7Hard, promises a symphonic heavy metal experience with ten tracks offering strong riffs, captivating melodies, and powerful symphonic undertones. To heighten anticipation for the album, three singles are being released prior to the album’s launch, each accompanied by a music video.
Inspired by heavy metal legends like Kiss, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, etc., as well as modern bands such as Nightwish, Epica, and Arch Enemy, Evolucija creates a sound seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary modernity.
Founded in Switzerland in 2007 by Dragisa Marinjes, Evolucija gained international recognition with two studio albums released in Germany and Serbia.
Their second album,”Hunt,” garnered attention and won the Innocent Award for “Best Album of the Year” in 2018. Theband’s involvement in the German film “Die Templerherren” with the official soundtrack “Pale Rider” solidified their presence in the music and film world.
In 2023, Evolucija was honored with the “Royal Oscar” as the “Best Metal Band in Serbia.” With successful tours in Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, and the Balkans, Evolucija shared the stage with heavy metal giants like Paradise Lost, Doro Pesch, Children of Bodom, Tyr, and Pestilence.
Evolucija aims to connect traditional heavy metal elements with a modern touch, incorporating symphonic,orchestral, and epic influences into their music. Their music conveys intense emotions and clear messages easily understandable for fans.
After the album’s release in spring, Evolucija plans an extensive tour to reach a broader audience and showcase their symphonic heavy metal experience worldwide.
