Scott Tappen
Musician & Graphic Artist/Designer within the local Halifax, Nova Scotia music scene of the early 90s. Scott was a former member of both Quahogs, and Trike.
Scott was an honoree of an East Coast Music Industry Award in 1998 for his work in graphic design, as in-house artist for Cinnamon Toast Records, the Halifax On Music festival, and for a multitude of colorful gig posters at the now-defunct Halifax, NS venue "Birdland" in the early-to-mid 90s.
Tappen's poster art was displayed at the Anna Leonowens Gallery as part of the "Snapped Crackling Pop" exhibit in 1997, and once again during a posthumous retrospective at the 20th anniversary of the Halifax Pop Explosion in October 2013.
Scott Tappen passed away from cancer at the age of 29, on Saturday, January 22, 2000.
