Begoña
Real name: Begoña Muñoz García
Begoña starts her musical project in 2001. Until then her career as a well-known visual artist led her to live in Amsterdam, New York, Paris and Bilbao. At a given moment, he decides to use his musical facet never exploited as creative material. In New York, he sings in a Brazilian pub and meets former Bikini Kills Jennifer Blauvelt. In Gent, he starts a collaboration with the Belgian DJ Mo Becha. Wherever he goes he contacts the world of music and his album is taking shape. In Paris, the Record Makers label puts him in contact with Maxence Cyrin with whom he composes his songs at the beginning of 2002. In Bilbao with Madelman, in Donostia with Javi P3z and in Madrid with Javiergarcía, the production of the album ends. The result: new wave, a punk touch, disco, sinthpop with guitars and a lot of attitude. The album of Begoña comes out in January 2004. But before we can enjoy a preview of the album in maxisingle format: LET'S PLAY HIPPIES (or better let's be lesbian tonight). In the maxi, in addition to the original one it contains remixes of the LKan locals, the French Bosco (creators of the music of the Dior Homme parades) and the Portuguese Fernando Carvallho. Let's play hippies is published on November 4, 2003.
