Not to be confused with アヤビエ, which was also pronounced "ayabi" and featured several members in common.

Following internal disputes, 4 of the 5 remaining members of アヤビエ left the band to form a new band in 2010. The new group was named AYABI, usually written in all capitals. Though the two groups would be easy to distinguish in the Japanese market (because アヤビエ never romanized their name on their merchandise in Japan), アヤビエ's albums were distributed in Europe under the romanized name of "Ayabi", which has lead to confusion amongst overseas fans.
