Singer, songwriter, producer and radio host, born in 1974 in Holstebro, Denmark to an English mother and a Danish father.

Until 2001 he sung and played guitar in the band Luksus ' together with Lise Westzynthius.
In 2002 he released his first solo album "Os 2 + Lidt Ro 2002".
He also works together with his friend and producer Anders Trentemøller.

Mikael Simpson has won several Danish awards;
- 2005: The Music Critics' Steppeulv (Steppenwolf) for 'Album of the Year' ("De Ti Skud") and 'Composer of the Year'.
- 2006: The Music Critics' Steppeulv (Steppenwolf) for 'Album of the Year' ("Stille & Uroligt") and 'Song of the Year' ("Vi 2").
- 2006: Danish National Radio's P3 Prisen (P3 Award).
- 2007: IFPI's Danish Music Award for 'Danish Songwriter of the Year'.
