Svend Erik Tanggaard
Danish composer, painter and writer, born 1942. Tanggaard studied piano and composition with Helge Bonnén from 1962-67 and in Münich from 1968-70. His music is characterised by a condensed and often restless sound and is inspired by the neo-classical and neo-romantic approach to the musical material. His music avoids as much as possible symphonic development and "culmination".
