The Villains

Effective period / Period of releases: 1966

Members: Alan Hoover, Bruce Blythe

Garage rock band from Evansville, Indiana. They formed in the summer of 1963 and after some lineup changes recorded a couple of singles.
In 1967 they added a local Supremes tribute group called “The Passions” as backup singers and took on more of a white soul sound before splitting up in late 1967 or early 1968. They reunited for a tribute show in 1984 and performed together annually until 1997 when Bob Ledbetter suffered a stroke that left him unable to sing.

Alan Hoover - Lead guitar, backup vocals
Roger Walker - Drums, vocals
Bob Ledbetter - Lead vocalist
