Real name: Helge Christian Albin

Swedish jazz musician (mainly for saxophone, but also for flute), composer, arranger and professor, born March 31, 1941.

Since 1979 he has been the musical leader of the big band Tolvan Big Band.

Albin has been a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Malmö. In 2005, he was appointed professor of jazz improvisation at the same institution.[2] In 2008, Albin was awarded the Harry Arnold scholarship. He became the 2011 recipient of Jazz in Malmö's honorary award, the Golden Pin. In 2017, Albin was awarded the Johnny Bode scholarship.

Albin's composition Emerald is featured in the film Sune's summer from 1993.
