Danish 1960's band fronted by Melvis. Melvis & His Gentleman formed in 1961, they played pure rock'n'roll until 1963, when they started moving towards a more English soul-influenced style. The band went through numerous incarnations with Melvis as the only lasting member until they disbanded in 1967. Re-formed in the mid-1970's in a short-lived reincarnation under the name Melvis And His Rock'n'roll Band, and again in the 1980's under the original name.
