De Jouwer's Apollo Trio was a band that was particularly well known in Fryslân in the last quarter of the 20th century.

Apollo was founded in 1969 by Tjeerd Hooisma, who later played in Duo Sunrise. Other band members of the trio were Sietse Melen and Willem de Jong. In the original lineup - with Foeke Middendorp - only Frisian songs were played. Bert Tinge provided, among other things, the lyrics, including the well-known Nynke. Tinge was the leader of the band The Specials, which was popular in the northern provinces in the late sixties. Around 1981, Tietsia Brandenburg from Arum joined as a singer.

After 1982, the Apollo Trio actually became another band with the Leeuwarden Johan Postma (percussion), Berend Balkema (keyboards) and Hettie Bouwmeester (vocals).
