A Story of Rats is based in the Pacific Northwest and creates esoteric music that is meditative, dense, and atmospheric. This project began in 2004, as a solo endeavor for the artist Garek Jon Druss. After 7 years the project expanded with the presence of percussionist Andrew Crawshaw, then the group dilated again, becoming a trio with the multi- instrumentalist/ composer Daniel Salo. As of late 2014, the project has operated as a duo, with Salo and Druss co-writing and performing the material.
