Hardcore punk band from Boston formed in 1981. Changed their name to Straw Dogs in 1986 to play a more heavy metal/hard rock sound. They took their name from a comment Wendy O. Williams made in an interview in which she said something to the effect that “Punk rock is a way of saying ‘F you’ to society.”
