Ukrainian baritone opera singer (1923–1993). Mykhaylo Ivanovych Shevchenko was a soloist at the Kyiv Theater of Opera and Ballet between 1955–1978. He was awarded the title of "People's Artist of Ukraine" in 1968.NOTE: Not to be confused with the Ukrainian poet and lyricist Михайло Шевченко (b. 1947).
