Urs Voegeli
Real name: Urs Vögeli
Swiss guitarist and composer from Schaffhausen (01.11.1976 - 23.05.2021). From the first chords on the guitar at the age of 14, up to the completion of his studies at the Musikhochschule Luzern, he has explored the various possibilities of guitar playing. At the beginning Blues and Rock stood in the center, later he began to occupy himself with how modern jazz is played. His studies led him to the world of improvised music where he developed an openness towards style and form. Besides guitar, he also played dobro, lap steel and banjo. He made his first release "Not All Birds Play Be-bop" with his own jazz quartet "flyOut" in 2009. He also worked with the jazz cover band Ghost Town Trio, performed solo in "Voegeli Solo", and was a member of the space-folk combo Grünes Blatt.
