They recruited Peter Bwalya on rhythm guitar and the band changed name to Ngozi Family. In the early 1980's his output shifted from rock to kalindula along with many of his contemporaries. Paul Ngozi had an active solo career in addition to his work with Ngozi Family, releasing several solo albums and singles. He was active well into the late 80's until he passed away in 1989.
