British sound engineer and producer active in the 1970s, started as tea-boy and tape operator at Morgan Studios in 1965. Known for his work on the first 3 Jethro Tull albums, Genesis with Peter Gabriel and acts like Traffic, Fairport Convention, John Martyn, Ginger Baker & Fela Kuti, Burning Spear and many more. Worked extensively at Island Studios, also briefly owned Escape Studios. Now part of prog-rock band JEBO. Not to be confused with other UK engineer John Burns (2)!
