"Alischuler Is Upped at Columbia

NEW YORK - Ernst Altschuler has been promoted to executive producer by Columbia Records. He will report to Robert Mersey, pop a&r director, and will be responsible for supervising the production of all pop album product and related a&r activities.

Reporting to Altschuler will be producers Michael Berniker, Teo Macero, John Simon and Thomas Wilson.

Altschuler joined Columbia as a producer in 1958. Before that he was an engineer with the CBS Radio Division."
