Congolese group formed in 1958 by Johnny Bokelo along with Mpia Mongongo "Porthos" and Seskain Molenga. Bokelo's brother Paul Ebengo Dewayon joined in 1960 but then left in 1962 to form Orchestre Cobantou.In 1968, Bokelo re-named the band to L'Orchestre Conga 68 De Johnny Bokelo.
