Biography
Agnès Pyka
Classical violinist, artistic director of the Ensemble Des Équilibres.
Agnès Pyka continues her violin studies across Europe. At the Scuola di Alto Perfection of Saluzzo (Italy) where she won first prize for violin and
chamber music, at the “Ferenc Liszt” Academy in Budapest (first prize of violin and chamber music) before reaching North America to studying with Lorand Feniyves at the University of Toronto. She also receives the first prizes in international competitions: National Young Soloists Hart House (Toronto); National Schubert (Italy), European by Moncalieri (Italy). It occurs from then on in France and abroad as soloist and first violin.
Currently a professor at the Toulon regional conservatory, she is also the founder and first violinist of the ensemble Des Équilibres, with whom In 2011, she recorded a first disc dedicated to string quartets from Sandor Veress. It thus achieves a notable world first for the second of these works and received 4 stars from Classica magazine. The 44 duets for two Bartók's violins in the company of Jan Talich have just been recorded for the Indesens Records label.
