Sebastian Gille Free Music

Sebastian Gille

German saxophonist and composer, born 1983 in Quedlinburg, based in Köln, Germany. He studied saxophone at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. Afterwards in 2005 he was awarded the solo prize of the Oscar and Vera Ritter-Foundation. Gille was also awarded the SWR Jazz Prize for his outstanding artistic merits. He is influenced by Chris Potter, Michael Brecker and Joe Lovano. He has worked with a number of renowned artists, Abdullah Ibrahim, Pablo Held, Richie Beirach, Randy Brecker, Jonas Burgwinkel, Adam Nussbaum, Nguyên Lê, Christoph Lauer, Nils Wogram, Rolf Kühn, Achim Kaufmann, Robert Landfermann.
