Formed in Wilmington, DE in the Summer of ‘88, this college rock band lit up the music scene in the Chapel Hill, NC area (and all along the East Coast) from 1991-1997. The band consisted of Mark Ivanitch (vocals, guitars), Mike Ivanitch (drums), Nick Vigneaux (bass), and Suzanne Elliot (vocals, percussion, harmonica and a bag of tricks). Often described as a cross between R.E.M., the B-52s, and many other guitar driven alternative pop/rock bands from the glorious 1990’s, Gravity’s Pull developed an energy and sound all their own.
