Members: Justin Craig, Andrew English (2), Robby Cosenza

Indie rock band the Scourge of the Sea was formed in the winter of 2004 in Lexington, KY, by members of other Kentucky groups.
Justin Craig and Robby Cosenza were former members of Pontius CoPilot and current members of the Apparitions when they teamed up with Andrew English in the Scourge of the Sea. (All three are multi-instrumentalists and vocalists.) After releasing a vinyl demonstration single on Paper Records ("My Sweet One" b/w "Out of the Trash"), they signed to the newly revived and relocated independent label Alias Records and released their debut album, Make Me Armored, on July 25, 2006. ~ William Ruhlmann
