Born May 11, 1915 in East Hartford, Connecticut, USA.
Died March 19, 1980.
He won the West Virginia state yodeling championship in 1938.
He would also perform under the "Crazy Elmer" moniker dressed up as a hayseed and doing comedic bits while he sang and yodeled.
