Colony Collapse started as a University Of Kansas dorm-room collective in 2006. The group's earnest concern for the environment assisted their musical and conceptual message. All of Colony Collapse's songs pertain to the colony collapse disorder pandemic, which currently threatens honeybees worldwide. As interest from the Lawrence music scene grew, Colony Collapse began to hone their steadily-peaking sound into a more melodic, tightly orchestrated voice.
