Born in Memphis, Tennessee but raised in southeast Missouri.
At age of 14 he started touring with his band. After years of traveling with his band he settled in Indianapolis, Indiana and did regular gigs throughout the state.
Dean has written over 300 songs. Nugget Records published 36 of Dean's songs. Dean grew up in a small community between Caruthersville and Steele, Missouri.
