Telmo de Lima Freitas (São Borja, February 13, 1933 – Cachoeirinha, February 18, 2021) was a Brazilian singer and composer of regional music from Rio Grande do Sul. Son of army officer Leonardo Francisco Freitas and peasant Mariana de Lima Freitas, Telmo from an early age showed that he would pursue a musical career. At the age of two, she was on the cover of Revista Cacimba with a cavaquinho in her hand, a gift from her godmother. Later, he received a guitar as a gift from a friend.
