N.H.U. was a Spanish progressive rock band, formed in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain in 1973. Their main inspiration were artists like King Crimson, Frank Zappa and Yes. Their lyrics are in Galician, which was once the origin of Portuguese, hence the similarities.N.H.U. apparently stands for "Noche Hermosa Una" (A Beautiful Night), and for some reason they were listed as Grupo N.H.U. on the labels and spine of the original LP release. Superficially akin to Iceberg in that they mixed heavy prog with jazz/fusion influences and Spanish, cultural elements, N.H.U. played a complex blend that was quite original and distinctive.
