MENTAL DEFECT is a german alternative metal band founded in 2009. Because of their incorporating various styles of music and their visual concept, Mental Defect is often titled as Gothic Metal. Characteristic of their style is a mix of dark-, heavy- and melodic metal: deep growls, an emotional clean voice and metal guitars filled up with synthesizers and electronic samples. The album „Longplayer“ was released in 2011, the second album „Lost in the Sense Of Time“ in 2014.
