Moonblood was formed in Germany in February 1994 by Gaamalzagoth (vocals) and Occulta Mors (all instruments). The band released a wealth of demos and their first full-length album, Blut & Krieg, was released in 1996. A couple of splits and more demos followed and in 2000 the second album, Taste Our German Steel! was released. The band at this time was already defunct (1999).

Please note that everything released on CD by any other label than Misanthrophia Discos is a bootleg until 2014, which has the first official CD release compiling Blut & Krieg with the tracks featured on the split with Deathspell Omega. The CD is released on Gaamalzagoth's label Misanthrophia Discos. The only real and official demo tape is the The Winter Falls Over The Land tape which was released in 333 units by Gospel Of The Witches Promotions in 1995. Everything else can be seen as a rehearsal tape (Nosferatu, Siegfried - Die Sage Vom Helden) or as (split) tape album (Fuck Peace! We're At War!, Dusk Woerot...).
