From 1956, he concentrated on songwriting working together with Mort Shuman. Sometimes credited as Jerome "Doc" Pomus.
Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 (Non-Performer). Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.
