Real name: Jocelyn Bernadette Smith

Effective period / Period of releases: 1985

American singer (22 August 1960, Queens, New York City). By age 13 becomes interested in popular music such as Jazz, R&B, Soul. With her real name Jocelyn B. Smith performs all various styles of music. First experience in a band is with Lenny White (1982), after with Change, The Rolling Stones, Rick James, Electric Light Orchestra, Ellen Foley. In 1984 decides to live in Berlin working in clubs with other bands and on studio projects for various artists such as Falco, Alphaville, Tangerine Dream. In the 90's decides to begin a solo career. Her most successful album is Blue Light and Nylons (1998) which contains George Gershwin and Kurt Weill interpretations. Still very active.
