American country/hillbilly singer, guitarist and songwriter. Born in September 1923 at his parents' farm off Highway 72 between Glen and Corinth, Mississippi, USA - Died in February 1992 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.When he moved to Memphis, he worked at the Hunter Fan Co., where he ran the tool and die department, until he retired.
