American dance-jazz/rock'n'roll musician, singer, songwriter, and record label owner (Reca Records). Born in 1926 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA
Initially, he played clarinet in the North East Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, then alto saxophone and then tenor saxophone. In 1979, he became a Doctor of Theology.
