Justin Avery was born in Michigan where he grew up watching music in his Dad's nightclub. He was exposed to all kinds of music in the nightclub, rock, blues, R&B, jazz etc. Along with being a club owner, his dad played guitar, sang and put together extravagant shows. His mother was also a prolific artist/painter. Justin was brought up with music and always had an affinity for performing, writing and recording music.

Justin has played with artists Sheila E, The Emotions, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kay Perry, Spookey Ruben, Meat Loaf and many others. As of today, Justin is a full time writer, arranger, producer and artist in Los Angeles. He produces other artists and also works in film and television as a composer and arranger.
