Real name: Bernard D. Hanighen

American songwriter best known for writing the lyrics to the original composition by Thelonious Monk, "'Round Midnight", and to "When a Woman Loves a Man". He also worked as producer.
He also worked with Clarence Williams, Billy Holiday and Johnny Mercer. He was born April 27, 1908, Omaha, Nebraska, and died October 19, 1976, New York, USA.
