Deke Dickerson formed Venturesmania! with his buddies Garrett Immel (The Ghastly Ones), Mel Bergman (The Phantom Surfers, Go Nuts), and Chris Sprague (18 Wheelers, Go Nuts, The Outta Sites). Venturesmania! is the world’s greatest (and guitar geekiest) Ventures tribute band! The band had the pleasure of recording this album with special guest star Nokie Edwards, lead guitarist of The Ventures. Nokie is featured on three cuts, and the rest of the guys all take turns playing lead on a collection of great new Ventures-style originals and cool cover songs done Ventures style. This album has been described as sounding like “the great unreleased 1965 Ventures album.”
