Atomizer

Effective period / Period of releases: 1998 - 2008

Members: Justin Allen, Jason Healey, Suds, Anvil (2), Matt Sanders (2), Brent Hodgkins, Jason Saunders, Jay Young (7), Andrew Lilley (3)

Australian based thrash/black metal band formed in 1998 by Jason Healey (vocals/bass) Tom Anvil (drums) and Matt 'Skitz' Sanders (guitar)
They self-released their first demo, "Atomic Metal Power", in 1998. In 2000, they released their first official full length, "The End Of Forever", which was re-released in 2004 as "The Death Of Forever" on Agonia Records. In 2001, they released a single called "Gimme Natural Selection". This was followed by their second full length in 2002, "Death - Mutation - Disease - Annihilation", on the French label Drakkar Productions. They had three contributions in 2003, a split 7" with Root on The Ajna Offensive label, a 7" EP entitled "Tyrus: The Doom War Of The Armoured Angel", and their third full length called "The Only Weapon of Choice - 13 Odes to Power, Decimation And Conquest". In 2004 they released another EP, "Songs Of Slaughter-Songs Of Sacrifice". In 2005 they began working on another full length to be called "Songs To Swing To", but due to legal disputes and a falling out with Agonia Records it was never released. In 2006 they released their fourth full length, "Caustic Music For The Spiritually Bankrupt", on the Hells Headbangers label.
They've had a number of different guitarists since 1998, but currently it's a two-piece band with Jason Healey handling guitar duties as well as bass and vocals.

As of late 2004, Atomizer has become purely a studio project and will cease doing live shows. Visit their website for more info as to why they decided to become simply a studio project.
