'Founded in 1957 the Amici Quartet established itself as one of the leading String Quartets in Great Britain, performing throughout the country and on the continent, giving frequent broadcasts on both Radio and Television and appearing at the Edinburgh Festival.

A change of personnel in 1972 was followed by recitals at the Wigmore Hall and the Purcell Room with subsequent concert tours and broadcasts.

The Amici Quartet has recorded for Pye Records and more recently for Chantry Records and Gaudeamus Recordings' (1979).
