Italian-Canadian singer, songwriter, producer and record company executive active 1960s to 1990s. Immigrated to Canada from Sora, Italy in 1952 at age 13 and became Canada's top-selling singer in Italian language communities during the 1960s. Founded E.F. Records in the early 1960s. Released first English tracks in 1975. Often co-wrote with his manager Carmen Bernardo and Gino Salvador. He would often travel to Rome where he would have orchestral arrangements done by Walter Rizzati and record orchestral backings there, and completed production in Toronto. In the 1990s his career had a revival, especially in Asia due to a series of tours there and the popularity of karaoke.
