Danny Cohen is a US musican and songwriter from Los Angeles, California.

Growing up during the 1950s in Hollywood, Cohen was the son of Gene Cohen, an actor and sketch artist who engaged Danny in the interesting world of stardom and film production. Danny Cohen got his start circa 1961 (when he was not twelve years old) with his proto punk band, Charleston Grotto. After the band’s collapse Cohen dabbled in collaborations and varied art in the following several decades. He emerged as a solo artist in 1998.

Cohen’s eccentric avant-garde presentations of his self-described “eclectic pop music” that come across as twisted folk lullabies have made it onto several albums’ worth of material.
