Gardiner discovered and mentored talent including Kenny G, En Vogue, BlaqueIce, Nikita Germaine, Rosie Gains, Yasmeena, Zinya Zee, and film composer Mark Isham. James co-founded Live Oak Studios Berkeley, CA. and co-founded with his producing partner Paula Telander Pajama Recording Studios, Touch-Tone Productions and Gardiner Music Mentoring, a place where students can learn, create and fulfill possibilities in the real world of music production, engineering, composition, and performance-based in Oakland, CA.
