English rock band formed in 2000 and disbanded in 2003. The band was composed of Duncan Baxter (vocals), Dan MacBean (guitar), Mark Heaney (drums), Simon Jones (bass), and Simon Tong (guitar, keyboards), the latter two both being members of The Verve. Initially the band had been formed as John Squire's Skunkworks but Squire quickly left the project, even before they became The Shining.
