The Compression's star burned brightly - they gained Single of the Week on Manchester Music (the best review of any Philophobia Music releases at that point), but burned out too quickly - only one more compilation track followed their debut single.
Matty and Rob went on to become integral members of future Philophobia Music bands (The Do’s, Climbing Alice, Runaround Kids, The Ainsley Band).
