This group had a long career that goes back to the early 1940's. As the Skylight Singers they recorded for Regis and Manor (1944-45) and they also worked with Georgia Peach in these early years. As the Bibletone Jubileers they recorded for Bibletone, turning back to the Skylight Singers name in 1949. From then they recorded under several name variations such as the Skylights, the Mighty Skylights, the Mighty Skylight Singers, the Mighty Skylights Singers and the Skylight Singers Of New York. Records appeared on Spirituals (c. 1949), Lamp (1954), Vee-Jay (1957-58), Peacock (c. 1961), Rae Cox (c. 1964), Hob (c. 1965), Jas (c. 1965-66) and King (1969).
