Eight-piece reggae/ska band from Austin, Texas. Contra Coup was formed in November 2006 after several members of The Lonestar Rockers, a temporary backing band for Clinton Fearon, completed a tour of the Southern United States. Members of Contra Coup included former members of The Stingers ATX, Five Ton Chicken, and Burning Spear’s Burning Band.
