Herd Of Instinct is a progressive rock band from Arlington, Texas that was formed by Mark Cook in 2007 out of the ashes of the band 99 Names Of God. In 2011 they were signed to Firepool Records, a label owned by Djam Karet members.

Herd Of Instinct performs mostly instrumental eclectic, experimental, and deviant prog rock blending multiple elements from various modern genres and styles as well as world tribal music.
