Born Chicago, IL, February 9, 1912, died New York, NY, February 16, 1993. Big Band vocalist and radio performer of the 1930s-1940s. Sang with the bands of Harry Sosnick, Henry Busse, Roy Smeck, Lou Breese, Buddy Rogers, and Paul Whiteman (from Nov. 1939) and had a post-war career creating albums with music for children.
