Real name: Omroep Orkest

Dutch classical symphony orchestra of the Dutch public broadcasting system established shortly after the Second World War. It specialised itself in playing in ballet and opera productions. In 1985 it merged with the Promenade Orkest and became Nederlands Radio Symfonie Orkest.Chief conductors were:
Henk Spruit (1948 - 1971)
Leo Driehuys (1965 - 1977)
