Hecate Enthroned

Effective period / Period of releases: 1996 - 2019

Members: Dagon (8), Michael Snell, Andy Milnes, Mark Watson-Jones, Jon Kennedy (4), Marc Evans (9), Steve Slawson

Back in 1993, Jon (vocals), Marc (guitars) and Nigel formed a Death Metal band known as Daemonum. The band played a mixture of styles, crossing the styles of both Death and Black Metal. After some extensive touring played both locally and non, the British act saw the departure of Jon as he joined the more notorious band Cradle of Filth. The remaining members found new recruits and eventually successfully renamed themselves to Hecate Enthroned.

In 1995, Jon left Cradle of Filth to return to the newer ensemble of Daemonium. With this new outfit, the band recorded a demo titled "An Ode for a Haunted Wood", re-released in 1996 as a full length under the name "Upon Promeathean Shores (Unscriptured Waters)". Michael (keyboards), Craig (drums) and Paul (bass) soon joined in, and the band adopted a newer melody-driven sound inspired a lot by Cradle of Filth. "Slaughter of Innocence" appeared in 1997 and "Dark Requiems and Unsilent Massacre" (1999) and "Kings of Chaos" (2000) soon followed.

"Miasma" came in 2001 and was followed by "Redimus" in 2004.
